Noth Back on 'Law & Order' Beat Detective Mike Logan may soon be ending his exile on Staten Island.Chris Noth, who played Logan on the first five seasons of "Law & Order," is set to reprise the role on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" later this season. Noth's episode is set for January, Broadcasting & Cable magazine reports.News of Noth's guest spot has also led to some speculation that NBC and "L&O" producers are considering him as a potential replacement for "Criminal Intent" star Vincent D'Onofrio, who has suffered two fainting spells recently, the second of which stopped production on the show for a few days.D'Onofrio passed out on the set of the show Nov. 11, reportedly while rehearsing a strenuous scene. He fainted again at home a week later; both times he was hospitalized for tests. Some accounts have also reported tensions on the "Criminal Intent" set.NBC acknowledges that Noth will make a guest appearance on the show but says no cast changes are in the works, the magazine reports.Noth left "Law & Order" after the 1994-95 season; his character was sent to Staten Island after punching a corrupt city politician. He has reprised Logan once before, in the NBC movie "Exiled."Lately, Noth is best known for playing Mr. Big on "Sex and the City." Other recent credits include the miniseries "Caesar" and the movie "Bad Apple," both for TNT, and the feature "Mr. 3000."
